Jean Hazlitt

Jean is an executive, business, sales and leadership coach. She is a registered coaching practitioner with COMENSA (Coaching and Mentoring of South Africa) and ICF (International Coaching Federation) with ACC accreditation. Jean is passionate about helping others unlock their full potential through coaching.

Jean has been coaching since 2003 in a sales and business environment, incorporating both executive and life coaching. Her areas of expertise encompass analysis, Internet marketing, sales and service coach to sales managers. She has experience in facilitating workshops and helping sales teams reach their objectives. Jean has been accredited as an assessor for coaches by the Bank Seta (Sector Education and Training Authority (South Africa). Her clients are drawn from diverse sectors like: sales teams and/or individuals, owners/directors of small companies, financial planners and senior and middle management of corporations.

Hayley Verney

Hayley is an HR practitioner, change manager, professional integral coach and facilitator with 13 years’ experience. She has designed, developed and implemented learning and change programs to enhance individual and organizational competence. Hayley believes that mindfulness and curiosity are effective in shaping thought and behavior patterns for greater success.

Hayley enjoys collaborating with others to bring about individual, team and organizational transformation. She’s passionate about managing, mentoring, facilitating, tutoring and coaching others to achieve individual, team or organizational goals. Her experience includes coaching individuals through various life changes like restructuring, retrenchment, promotions, careers change, performance enhancement and dealing with death. Hayley has a proven track record in supporting and enabling parents, children and adults to develop strategies for dealing with ADHD and ADD at school and in the workplace.

Ladina King

Ladina is a professional certified coach with the Deep Coaching Institute, Results Coaching Systems, and the Coaches Training Institute. She is an accredited facilitator of Integrative Enneagram Solutions and the Adfin system. Her objective is to empower people through self knowledge.

Ladina is an associate member of the International Coaching Federation, a certified co-active coach and a certified results coaching systems coach. She has received training at the Enneagram Professional Training Program with Rios/Hudson in the USA. Ladina uses the Enneagram as a catalyst to effect profound change. She also conducts Enneagram and value-focused workshops. Ladina is known for coaching executives who are searching for meaning and purpose. Karen White

Organisational Development & Coaching

Karen White has 17 years’ hands-on retail experience in a number of operational and strategic positions and as a senior manager. Her strengths are organisational dynamics, strategic imperatives and the challenges and opportunities present in organisations. She has coached people in Israel, Iran, Kenya, Oman, South Africa and the UK.

Karen’s 2000+ hours coach training and experience have equipped her with unique problem-solving insights. In the past 9 years she has coached leaders of global companies at executive and senior management level in variety of functions. In addition to individual coaching, she coaches teams and offers leadership development programmes. Karen is the regional director for Embodiment International and offers leadership embodiment tools and practices. Through simple exercises, clients become more creative, innovative, compassionate and focused on the big picture. She is a leadership embodiment coach and teacher, a qualified integral and professionally certified coach (PCC), and is currently completing a diploma in ontological coaching which will qualify her to apply for master certification coach credentials.

Antje Berlin

Executive coach Antje Berlin is also a yoga teacher specializing in the balance of body, mind and soul. As an Integral Coach through the Centre for Coaching, UCT Graduate School of Business, Antje coaches in English and in German one-on-one programs and facilitates team building and retreats.

She is ICF credentialed and an Integral Coach through the Centre for Coaching, UCT Graduate School of Business, After 13 years as a profile writer for an international business magazine, she now helps professional individuals to become happier, healthier and more productive human beings, not only at the work place. She applies principles based on neuroscience, martial arts and yoga.

Arlene Ketz

Arlene is an experienced facilitator, mentor and executive coach. She has a BA Degree in Psychology and Drama, an Honours Degree in Applied Linguistics and a Masters in Management (Business Executive Coaching) from Wits Business School. Arlene assists leaders and professionals to maximize their potential for personal wellbeing and business success.

Arlene has been at the helm of a successful training company for twenty years, where building leadership skills, managing diversity and empowering leaders to communicate effectively are the priorities. She has designed innovative tools and material and trained, mentored and coached executives and professional staff in organizations such as Rand Merchant Bank, First National Bank, Investec, Standard Bank, Sasol, Brait, The National Treasury, SARS, and Fasken-Martineau. Arlene’s business experience and academic qualifications have equipped her to assist many leaders in South Africa to find new, more resourceful ways of behaving and relating to others and their environment. She uses a variety of tools and techniques to assist leaders to explore viable alternatives and tap the energy they require to attain their goals.

Merlene Nieuwoudt

Organisational Development & Coaching

Merlene is a PCC Certified Integral Coach through UCT’s GSB and accredited by New Ventures West, USA, affiliated to the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She studied under Claudio Naranjo, Paris, and is an accredited Enneagram practitioner. Merlene developed a real interest in role and group dynamics which sparked her interest in consulting and coaching both in the corporate and private environments.

Merlene has been a senior executive and consultant with 20+ years’ experience in numerous international organizations including British American Tobacco, Levi Strauss, AP Moller Maersk/ Safmarine, the City of Cape Town and the Standard Bank Group. Her expertise includes strategy and goal setting facilitation; performance management and change management initiatives; organisational effectiveness/ OD transformation initiatives; the full spectrum of HR as well as general management. As an ardent researcher, Merlene stays abreast of the latest progress in organisational and leadership development and global business trends, and incorporates this learning into her programmes and interventions. She has lectured at various colleges and business schools and authored a number of business management material. Merlene is driven by a core set of values and ethics that forms the foundation of her business consulting and coaching engagements and delivers a service of the highest professional ethics and standards.

Hugh Myres

Coaching & Mentoring

Hugh provides coaching and mentoring services to managers at all levels in corporates and entrepreneurial businesses. Over the past few years, Hugh has coached over 150 people in excess of 1,000 hours. He lectures at Milpark Business School in General Management on the MBA programme, and at Wits Business School on the Masters in Coaching.

Hugh is an executive coach who specialises in developing senior executives by leveraging his business experience of over 20 years operating at CEO, Executive and General Manager level. He is practiced at dealing with boards and EXCO’s and has lead teams ranging in size from 10 to 360 people, with associated accountability of up to R700m per annum. In 2012 Hugh completed a Masters in Management in Business and Executive Coaching at Wits Business School, where his research focused on how to use coaching to assist with the fast tracking of Black executives into senior positions. He has a Coaching Diploma from Milpark Business School and an MBA (cum Laude) from Wits Business School. His clients include mining companies, a Southern African bank, Gauteng provincial hospitals and State Owned Enterprises. Hugh has lived in South Africa for 26 years but has also lived and worked in France, England, Australia, Thailand and Sri-Lanka. In sub-Saharan Africa, his business experience includes Mozambique, Uganda, Nigeria and Rwanda. Thus he is able to bring local, African and global business experience to bear.

Alison Reid

Personal & Applied Learning

Alison Reid is an Associate Director at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS). She is responsible for the Personal and Applied Learning portfolio at the Business School, including the Coaching Centre of Excellence, Career Development and Workplace Integration.

Alison guides GIBS capabilities in personal and social learning processes, GIBS extensive use of group and team coaching, knowledge development and research in the learning process area and around 100 faculty members who deliver on this capability. Alison conducted her master’s research on group coaching in the leadership development space. Alison is also an independent consultant – facilitating, designing and coaching on management, OD and leadership development interventions. She enjoys coaching senior leaders and those enthusiastic about developing their personal and professional lives. In previous roles, she co-owned a training business, established a clinical polysomnography unit in a hospital in Saudi Arabia and was the supervising scientific researcher at a Brain Function Unit at the University of Witwatersrand. She was privileged to present papers at eight major local and international science conferences between 1999-2010 and at several coaching conferences between 2005 and 2014. She has published research articles in local and international journals on aspects of brain function. She has also contributed a chapter to the book: “Re-think- Growth & learning through coaching and organisational development) (Knowledge Resources 2014). Alison has a Sports and Counselling psychology honours degree, a coaching diploma and a master’s degree in Management (specialising in learning, leadership and OD).

Dr Annemarie Lombard is the founder and CEO of Sensory Intelligence® Consulting, with a PhD in Health Sciences. She completed her doctorate through the University of Cape Town comparing sensory profiles with performance in contact centres and has a particular interest in the dynamics of open plan working environments.

Sensory Intelligence® Consulting is a training and consultancy business, mainly focusing on improving performance, which operates in three separate industries. The target industries are Call Centres, Corporate Businesses and the Education arena. Annemarie works with leaders, work teams, call centre agents and team leaders, teachers, parents and wellness practitioners. She uses a standardised profiling process to identify behaviours, habits and stressors from a sensory perspective, and then applies these insights to assist clients to understand the impact of their sensory thresholds on how they work, live and learn. She unpacks sensory neuroscience in a no-nonsense, practical and easy to understand way by looking at self-regulation strategies (for optimising focus and attention), sensory diets (best-fit stress management tools) and sensory ergonomics (adaptations to the physical environment).


Eileen Thayser, MCC (ICF)

Eileen Thayser is a coaching psychologist with 12 years of experience as coach and therapist. She has a long business background, operating as finance director of M&R Plastics and Fedstone (Firestone Tyres), before a major career change.

Eileen’s qualifications include MA Clinical Psychology, various executive education courses, and multiple coaching certifications. Eileen has a particular interest in narrative coaching. Apart from her coaching and therapy practices, Eileen is an associate coach for the Center for Creative Leadership, works at GIBS as a coach facilitator on various leadership programmes, is an active mentor-coach and supervisor for many coaches, especially those wanting to go the ICF path. Apart from her coaching and therapy practices, Eileen has a keen interest in training coaches and in supporting the professionalization of coaching, and a strong desire to see organisations developing coaching cultures. To support this work, Eileen has a dedicated coaching training business, CoachTrax (Pty) Ltd. Recently, Eileen contributed a chapter on narrative approaches to coaching to the book Rethink: Growth and Learning through Coaching and Organisational Development. Eileen is credentialled at the Master Certified Coach (MCC) level with the International Coach Federation.


Phepsile Dlamini

Phepsile is a Coach, an Organisational Development and Talent Management Specialist. She has previously held different roles in Human Resources in organizations across Financial Services, Public and Retail Sectors having worked for Barclays Africa, Standard Bank, First National Bank, Edcon and the Gauteng Provincial Services Commission. After a long and fulfilling career Phepsile decided to be an independent consultant.

Phepsile’s areas of expertise include facilitation, Leadership Development, Talent Management, Mentoring, Change Management, Culture Transformation and Team Effectiveness. Phepsile has worked with a number of leadership teams where she crafted and implemented leadership journeys to help transform them from their current state to the desired state. She also assisted leadership teams in ensuring that the culture and leadership behaviours help drive strategy.

Phepsile holds a Masters in Business Administration from Milpark Business School and a BA in Social Sciences. She is a certified Integral Coach through the Centre for Coaching, GSB at the University of Cape Town where she obtained the Associate Coaching Course (ACC) and Professional Coaching Course (PCC) qualifications. She is a credentialed member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She is also a member of Coaches and Mentors of South Africa (COMENSA). She is a certified Integrative Enneagram Practitioner.
